If you had told me when I was a little girl that I would be an actress one day, I would have nervously chuckled and hid behind my mother!

A bad case of stage fright limited me to entertaining only family, neighbors
and my bedroom mirror!  My budding talents weren’t ready for the world.

But because I could sing, my grade school teacher picked me as one of three girls to audition for a role in the neighboring high school’s production of South Pacific. Outside the director’s office, I swore I was going to have a heart attack just waiting for my turn.  When I finally got in the room, I was told to run with my arms open wide and say, “Daddy, Daddy.”  I ran right into the open broom closet at the end of the director’s office, and stayed there!!  Needless to say I didn’t get the part.

Eventually, my growing desire to act took wing and this late bloomer from a little steel town in West Virginia went for it!  From Pittsburgh to South Florida to Los Angeles and back again, I’ve been enjoying a rewarding acting and filmmaking career.  It sure beats hiding in a broom closet!!
